CyberArts Inks Deal with Lottery Giant Francaise des Jeux for French Poker
San Francisco-based online gaming platform provider CyberArts signs deal with French lottery giant Francaise des Jeux for online poker.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 16, 2009 /Gaming and Casinos PR News/ -- Chairman Ken Arnold announced this week that online gaming platform provider CyberArts has signed a deal with French lottery operator Francaise des Jeux (FDJ) to provide FDJ's online poker offering.
"We are committed to having FDJ live with a fully-functioning cash poker site the first day of legal operations in France," stated Arnold. "And we have the technology and experience to meet the strictest of regulatory requirements." Last year, CyberArts provided the platform for Italy's largest and first to market operator, Gioco Digitale. As with Gioco, FDJ may possibly launch this summer with a for-fun site to build market share prior to the cash poker launch.
"This is an exciting time in online gaming as a second wave of large trusted brands begin to provide gaming in new jurisdictions with government authority. There's a real advantage to companies like ours that cannot only meet the rigorous technical requirements, but as never having been operators we've never run into any issues with licensing authorities."
In addition to FDJ and Gioco Digitale, San Francisco-based CyberArts provides gaming technology and services to two large US legal sites PurePlay.com and SpadeClub.com, and recently signed a deal with Italy's Zest Gaming to enter the server-based gaming market.
